Perfect for foyers and museum corners
The Foyer Plinth feels at home in reception halls, art school corridors and curated museum corners. It often features in our custom foyer commissions, as well as in museum editions where artwork rotation is needed. If you’re displaying a single piece that needs space to breathe, the plinth’s height and footprint create an instant centrepiece.
- Foyer commission display

Objects that work well with the Plinth
The best pairings come from restraint: a Veld Tray with a single ceramic, a Karoo Screen as backdrop, or a Baobab Lamp casting soft light onto a sculpture. For a cohesive studio setting, use two plinths at staggered heights or alongside our Studio Bench for seating nearby. Each combination creates a layered, welcoming entry.
Finishes and quiet craft notes
Most clients pick a natural oiled oak or ash to keep the form understated, but we also offer darker stains if your space calls for it. The brass foot’s tone sits well with both blond timber and the deeper warmth of kiaat. Read more in our notes on plinth craft and practical gallery floor loads, if you’re after technical reassurance or considering heavier installations.
